HTMA Pet Hair Analysis and Nutritional Program | Initial & Retest
A hair tissue mineral analysis is just as beneficial for canines and felines as it is for human beings. This pet hair biopsy test measures the mineral levels, mineral ratios, and toxic metals of a dog or cat using only a small sample of fur. The results of each pet hair analysis are obtained from Analytical Research Labs, and forwarded to nutritional coach Eileen Durfee. Eileen interprets the HTMA test results and designs a customized nutritional program to get your pet's health back on track.
The purchase of a pet hair analysis includes a downloadable file (sent in the order confirmation email) that contains instructions and materials necessary in order to properly cut and submit your pet's hair (fur) sample. The email file and instructions are included in the cost of the program, but can be mailed or faxed if preferred.
Please note that pet hair testing and subsequent nutritional coaching consultations performed are not intended as diagnosis, treatment, or prescription for any canine or feline condition or disease. All pet hair analysis tests are non-refundable and must be used within 6 months of purchase.
You must submit the Initial Pet Information Sheet for your pet's first hair analysis test, and the Retest Pet Information Sheet for each subsequent test. These forms are helpful for proper analysis of your pet's HTMA test results, and necessary to make appropriate recommendations. It is important to learn how to properly cut a pet hair sample before obtaining and mailing your pet's fur sample to the lab.
Once we receive your pet's hair analysis test results and have your pet's customized program recommendations ready from practitioner and nutritional coach Eileen Durfee, we will contact you via email. The process takes around 3-4 weeks, depending on how accurately and quickly you submit the forms. After receiving the initial nutrition and/or supplement recommendations, if you have further questions regarding your pet's nutritional program, you may purchase consultation time with Eileen.
The body chemistry of a dog or cat is constantly changing, and nutritional recommendations must also adjust as your pet's health improves. To keep up with these changes, it is important to obtain a pet hair analysis retest after 3 months of following the initial pet nutritional balancing program recommendations.
The Pet Hair Analysis Test report from Analytical Research Laboratories contains readings of major and macro minerals (Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Potassium, Iron, Copper, Manganese, Zinc, Chromium, Selenium, Phosphorus; and Nickel, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Lithium, Boron ), toxic metals (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Arsenic, and Aluminum); and significant ratios revealing metabolic trends (CA/MG, NA/MG, CA/K, NA/K, CA/P, and ZN/CU).
